Ramji Sah Teli, 36, of Gharkauli in Hariwan Municipality-5 has been sentenced to life imprisonment by the District Court on April 3, 2022, for raping a 16-year-old girl.
The verdict was presented by a bench of Judge Bidur Koirala. The guilty was also charged NPR 250,000 as compensation to the victim, informed Shrestedar Bishwanath Aryal.
The victim had lodged a complaint at the District Police Office, on May 31, 2019 accusing Teli of raping her on May 26, 2019.
The girl was examined at Sarlahi District Hospital, Malangwa on May 31.
