The Municipal Police Office of Bhrikutimandap has arrested 22 males and five females from the premises of the Supreme Court in accusation of demonstrating in front of the Supreme Court.
Manoj Sapkota, one of the participants of the demonstration said the protest was staged because the ongoing protest within the advocates associated with the Supreme Court and Nepal Bar Association were hampering the judicial activities.
According to DSP Kaushal Budathoki of the Municipal Police Office, Bhrikuti Mandap, they were arrested to prevent the clash between them and the lawyers protesting against the Chief Justice.
