Police arrested Mahesh Subedi,27, on August 25 for attempting to kill his grandmother Khinmaya Subedi, 72, of Bhadrapur Municipality-10, Satrabige by stabbing with a khukuri. It is reported that the incident occurred on June 26 after she refused to give him money and then absconded. The aggrieved party had filed a complaint against the accused at the District Police Office on June 26.
The woman sustained head injuries and was treated at the Mechi Provincial Hospital, Bhadrapur, on June 26.
