On March 4, Shravan Kumar Chaudhary, 42, of Barju Rural Municipality-6, mistreated Roshan Gupta, 33, an engineer working in the infrastructure department of Barju Rural Municipality. According to the victim, the accused interfered during an ongoing staff meeting, grabbed Engineer Gupta by the collar, and threatened him, asking if he knew him.
Gupta stated that the accused is the husband of the Deputy Chairperson of the Rural Municipality and has repeatedly threatened him, saying that he must arrange contracts for him. In light of this incident, employees have expressed their concerns and urged the Rural Municipality Chairperson to create a conducive working environment. On March 4, employees working at the Rural Municipality submitted a memorandum, expressing concerns about the unsafe working environment. Since the Rural Municipality Chairperson, Jewacha Rai, was outside the Municipality, the memorandum was sent via WhatsApp, as per Ram Babu Shrestha, the Chief of the Health Department.

In addition to requesting a safe working environment, the employees also filed a verbal complaint with the Chief District Officer, Dharmendra Kumar Mishra. The Rural Municipality Chairperson, Rai, informed INSEC over the phone that he was currently out of the district but would take action regarding the incident upon his return. The employees have set a 72-hour deadline for the creation of a safe working environment.
