Police arrested 30-year-old Sagar BK on December 23 for the charge of fatally beating his 21-year-old wife Anjali BK of Butwal Sub-Metropolitan City-11, Devinagar.
The aggrieved party filed a complaint at the Area Police Office, Butwal, on December 23, alleging that the accused, under the influence of alcohol, killed Anjali by hitting her head with a log. DSP Bijay Raj Pandit of the Area Police Office, Butwal, stated that the victim sustained a deep head injury and died due to excessive bleeding.
The body has been sent to Lumbini Provincial Hospital for postmortem.
