Police arrested 43-year-old Panchalal Darji of Byas Municipality -6 Syamgha currently residing at the Sitatol ward no-4 of the same municipality on October 6 for the charge of raping a 38-year-old woman. SP Birendra Bahadur Shahi of the District Police Office informed that the accused was arrested following the complaint filed by the aggrieved party at the district police office on October 6 stating that the accused had raped the victim on October 16.
The health examination of the victim was conducted on October 6 at Damauli Hospital.
