A 41-year-old woman submitted an application requesting INSEC to take action for justice. She alleged that the police refused to register her complaint against the accused for sexual abuse.
In her application, she stated that the police did not register her complaint against 47-year-old Mohamad Miyan of Bhokraha Narsingh Rural Municipality-7, who allegedly sexually abused her on August 11, 2024. After the police refused to register her complaint, the victim submitted an application to INSEC, Sunsari on September 1, requesting initiative to seek justice. The victim have alleged that the accused repeatedly sexually abused and attempted to rape her. INSEC subsequently inquired SP Bipin Regmi of the District Police Office on why the complaint was not registered.
Following INSEC’s request to register the complaint, SP Regmi stated that the police will inquire with the victim and proceed with the investigation.
