Police arrested 34-year-old Balkrishna Saru of Mathagadhi Rural Municipality-4, Palpa on May 5 for the charge of raping a 23-year-old woman.
The aggrieved party filed a complaint against the accused at the Area Police Office, Butwal on May 4 alleging that the he raped the victim on April 20.
DSP Bijayraj Pandit of the Area Police Office, Butwal informed that the accused has been arrested and further investigation is going on.
The health examination of the victim was done on 4 May at the Lumbini Provincial Hospital, Butwal.
