A complaint was filed against Suryakanta Yadav, 48, of Kaudena Rural Municipality-7, Sakraula on April 22 for caste based discrimination against 37-year-old Rambishwas Mahara Chamar of the same ward at the District Police Office, Malangwa. The aggrieved party informed that the accused had practiced caste based discrimination and even beat the victim on April 11.
The victim alleged that he was verbally abused on the basis of his caste and subjected to inhumane treatment by the accused while he was feeding water to his buffalo in the river located on the north side of Sakraul, Kaudena Rural Municipality-8. Additionally, he was told to take his buffalo out from the river.
On the other hand, the 52-year-old brother of the accused said that the accused simply told him to feed the buffalo after he finishes bathing and did not beat him.
Dr Nawal Kishor Jha informed that the victim was examined at Sarlahi District Hospital Malangwa on 23 April. Moreover, DSP Dipak Shrestha of the District Police Office Malangwa reported that the accused is absconding and the investigation regarding the incident is underway.
