The police arrested 35-year-old Resham Damai from his home in Bhagawatimai Gaunpalika-1 , on the accusation of raping a 70-year-old woman has been arrested by the police on 8 April.
The victim had accused the suspect of raping her on 4 April, based on which the police arrested the accused on 8 April , informed Inspector Deepak Magar of the district police office. The health check-up of the victim woman was conducted on 8 April at the district hospital.
Inspector Magar also informed that based on the evidence including papers from the scene and the victim’s accusation, the investigation of the incident has been initiated from the district court on 8 April, with a seven-day deadline.
