On July 9, the police arrested Pemwa Tamang, a 30-year-old resident of Silichong Rural Municipality-3, on charges of raping a 23-year-old woman. The victim had promptly filed a complaint against the accused at the District Police Office on the same day.
Inspector Saroj Khanal of the District Police Office stated that the arrest of the accused took place in Sisuwa, Silichong Rural Municipality-3, following an investigation prompted by the victim’s complaint.
Consequently, on July 9, the victim underwent a health examination at the district hospital.
