The District Court of Parbat has ordered jail term of one year and six months to Elan Bahadur Shahi, 25, of Khadachakra Municipality -11, Kalikot for sexually abusing a 15-year-old girl. The guilty was temporarily residing at Paiyu Rural Municipality-4, Hubas.
The verdict was given by Judge Balaram Tripathi on January 13, 2022. Along with the imprisonment, the guilty was also fined NPR 10,000, informed Srestedar Ram Bahadur Thapa.
The victim was abused by the accused on February 28, 2020 and the complaint was filed against him at the Area Police Office Huwas on March 2.
The accused was arrested by the police on the same day and a case of child sexual abuse was filed against him on March 23, 2020.
After the decision of the court, the accused was then released on a bail of NPR 100,000 on March 24, 2020.
The health checkup of the victim was conducted on March 2, 2020.
