Police have arrested Dipen Rai, 34, on the charge of killing his wife Bishnumaya Rai (Limbu), 29, of Sibhuwa in Panchkhapan Municipality-3 on December 21, 2021. She was beaten to death by her husband on December 20.
Inspector Subhesh Adhikari of the District Police Office told INSEC that the accused had beaten the victim to death after consuming alcohol.
Adhikari further informed that the accused was arrested while he was hiding in the nearby forest.
The post-mortem of the body was conducted at BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences (Ghopa), Dharan on December 21.
