The victim Dagoura said she married Jangali Dagoura, 71, of Bardagoriya Rural Municipality-6 in 2003 (2060BS). Her husband repeatedly beat her and deprived her of food and marriage registration. Later, she was evicted from the house after which she had been living alone in a small hut. But lately, Dagaura’s husband has not allowed her to live in the hut and has locked it.

Due to the financial crisis, the victim was unable to take legal steps against her husband. According to Bal Kumari Sunar, a member of the Feminist Dalit Organization, the woman urged the INSEC Sudur Paschim Provincial Office after receiving information that INSEC has been providing assistance to the victims of violence through the Human Rights Help Desk.
