INSEC has published the monthly analysis report of Kartik 2078 (October 18 to November 16, 2021). According to the report, there have been 231 victims of human rights violations and abuses. Among them 104 are females and 127 are males.
The monthly analysis report published on November 23, 2021, mentions the data compiled by INSEC from the news published on INSEConline from October 18 to November 16.
Mentioned in the report- ‘According to news published on inseconline, there were 134 victims in Bagmati Province, 22 in Province 1, 21 in Lumbini Province, 20 in Province 2, 18 in Karnali Province, 14 Gandaki Province, and two in Sudurpaschim Province.’
According to the news published from October 18 to November 16, 2021, 119 were arrested including 15 females.
‘These include the arrest of the advocates of Nepal Bar Association while they were protesting in the premise of the Supreme Court demanding the resignation of the chief justice and cadres of Communist Party of Nepal led by Netra Bikram Chand (Biplav) arrested during the strike of November 16.’- mentioned in the analysis.
Likewise, within this period there were 13 injured, one each were the victim of inhumane activity and misbehaviour. One was the victim of caste-based discrimination and two were injured in a bomb blast.
According to the news published on INSEConline, this month six were killed by their husbands and one died in detention. Likewise, one was killed after rape.
Similarly, the analysis mentioned that the news published from October 18 to November 16 documented 34 victims of child rights violations and 47 victims of a violation of Women Rights.
Till November 16, 7,624,038 were fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and 192,102 swabs were tested out of which 12,112 were diagnosed positive with COVID-19.
The data provided by the Ministry of Health and Population shows that six percent of people were diagnosed positive with COVID-19 from the total swabs tested from October 18 to November 16.
