Police have arrested Narayan Shahi, 31, of Kalikot District’s Tilagufa Municipality-11, on October 29, 2021, on the charge of raping a 21-year-old girl. The accused is temporarily living at Dhumakhel Dallu of Kathmandu Metropolitan-15.
The victim was raped on October 29. Anu Lama, an inspector at the Women and Children and Senior Citizens Service Center in Kalimati, told INSEC that the relatives of the victim had lodged a complaint against the accused on the same day.
According to Inspector Lama, the accused was arrested immediately by the team of police after receiving the complaint.
The victim was examined at the Prasuti Griha on October 30, 2021.
