Police have arrested Lok Bahadur Karki, 61, of Mahalakshmi Municipality-6, Leguwa on June 9, 2021, on charges of raping a 67-year-old woman with a verbal disability.
According to the victim, she was raped on June 8 and she lodged a written complaint against the accused at the District Police Office on June 10 accusing him of raping the victim.
According to SP Govinda Adhikari of the District Police Office, the accused was arrested on June 9 on the basis of a verbal complaint from the victim’s side.
The victim’s brother said that he had lodged a complaint with the police against the accused after the victim informed him about the incident by using sign language.
According to SP Adhikari, the police have registered a case against the accused in the district court on June 10.
The victim has been examined at the District Hospital on June 10.
