Eleven street children from Kathmandu Metropolitan-26, Thamel and ward number -27 Kamaladi were rescued on 3 and 4 July 2020. They were rescued by Children Tracing and Coordination Centre.

Out of the total rescued, eight of them are boys and three of them are girls. The boys are in the age group 11yrs to 18yrs whereas the girls are in the age group 16yrs to 18yrs.

In a phone conversation with INSEC’s representative, Santosh Adhikari, Officer of the Children Tracing and Coordination Centre informed that they were unable to find the original address of these children as they have been away from their family from a really long time.

According to him, all these children are involved in drug abuse. They were sent to Sober Recovery Centre, Bauddha.
