Farsa Ram Dangi (43) chairperson of Shantinagar rural municipality-2 was beaten by the cadres of the banned CPN on 30 June 2020.
Four men in disguise came and attacked him in his cabin at work. He was attacked with a wooden shaft, informed DSP Ganesh Chand of District Police Office to INSEC’s representative. Due to which, Dangi was severely injured and is taken to Rapti Provincial Hospital, Tulsipur for primary treatment and was later airlifted to Kathmandu for further treatment.
Secretary of the party from of Shantinagar rural municipality, Kamal Singh released a press statement on 30 June, taking responsibility of the attack. The statement also mentioned that the attack was done after public demand. It mentioned about Dangi’s corruption, nepotism at work and involvement in taking commissions.
The police are searching for those involved in the event. Chief District Officer Govinda Prasad Rijal and SP Ganesh Chand have monitored the incident spot.
