Police have arrested Uttam Karki (31) of Chandragiri Municipality-7 from his residence in accusation of misbehaving with a health worker.
He was arrested for misbehaving with Dr Narayan Karki, Director of Bagmati Province Public Health Laboratory on 14 May at Nagdhunga, informed SSP Shyam Lal Gyawali.
While Dr Karki was returning from Hetauda, some people calling themselves volunteers had checked his vehicle and asked for his identification. Even after Dr Karki had responded to them properly, they had misbehaved with them.
Police officers delegated in their duty had not responded to their behaviour and did not help Dr Karki because of which he had to return back to Hetauda.
According to the Deputy Mayor of Chandragiri Municipality, Lisha Nakarmi, the municipality had not allocated anyone for volunteering.
At present, the accused is in Kathmandu Police Circle, Teku and he will be charged for impolite behaviour.
