Shobha BK, 35, of Thaha Municipality-8, Makwanpur has been sentenced to life imprisonment after being proven guilty for killing Babuhajur Thapa, 74, an elderly citizen of Bharatpur Metropolitan City-9.
A bench of Judge Shakuntala Karki passed the verdict on October 1, 2021, informed Shrestedar Ishwar Acharya.
The victim was killed on September 21, 2020. The deceased’s son Chiranjeevi Thapa had filed a complaint against BK at the District Police Office, Chitwan on September 24, 2020.
Accused BK had absconded after the incident and was arrested on February 14, 2021. The post-mortem of the body was conducted at Bharatpur Hospital on September 24, 2020.
