Police have arrested 35 years old Ram Chandra Mahato of Janakpur Sub-metropolis-1 from the incident site on August 15 on charge of murdering 13 years old Bibika Kumari Shah after rape.
The accused was living in a rented room in the house of deceased. He raped the girl and straggled her to death while she was alone in the house.
The postmortem of the body was conducted at Janakpur Zonal Hospital according to SI Suresh Thakur of ward police office. The incident is under investigation according to District Police Office of Dhanusha. The victim’s family will lodge a complaint today at police office according to the office.
