The District Court of Dang has ordered to sentence 45 years old Dharma Jit Khatri of Goltakuri-6 for three years after finding him guilty on attempting to rape 30 years old woman.
A single bench of district court judge Komal Prasad Acharya has given a verdict regarding the case on April 9.
The victim’s party had lodged a complaint at Area Police Office on June 2 against the accused for attempting to rape a victim on May 24.
The accused was arrested on a same day and was charged for rape. However, the court ordered that it was an attempted rape and sentenced him for three years.
The victim underwent a health checkup at Rapti Zonal Hospital of Tulsipur on May 23.
