Abhishek Dhamala, 22, of Ramnagar in Bharatpur Metropolitan City-1 has been sentenced to eight years’ jail term for raping a 20-year-old woman. A bench of District Court Judge Keshav Prasad Adhikari gave the verdict on September 7, 2021.
The victim had lodged a complaint against Dhamala at the District Police Office, Chitwan on April 13, 2020, accusing him of raping the woman.
Dhamala was arrested by the police on April 14, 2020. The victim was examined at Bharatpur Hospital on April 15, 2020.
