Police have arrested Sitaram Tharu, 29, of Barbardiya Municipality-1 on August 25 in accusation of raping a 26-year-old woman.
The accused was raped on August 25 and the complaint was filed at the Area Police Office, Baniyabhar on the same day. Inspector Gopikrishna Subedi said that investigation was ongoing based on the complaint filed by the victim.
The health checkup was conducted at Bardiya Hospital on August 25.
