Jivan Bajgain, 41, of Khandbari Municipality-8 has been arrested on May 5, 2021, on the charges of raping a 52-year-old woman.
The victim was raped on May 3, 2021, and the complaint was filed against the accused on May 4, 2021, at the District Police Office.
According to Inspector Kabin Rai of the District Police Office, the investigation is ongoing on the basis of the complaint filed by the victim.
The health checkup of the victim was conducted on May 5, 2021, at the District Hospital.
