During the Gen-Z movement on September 9, out of the 291 inmates who escaped from Gaur Jail, 131 are still at large.
Although a notice had been issued asking the escaped inmates to return by October 6, only 133 inmates, including 6 women, have returned to the jail by November 5, according to Jail Chief Manish Jha.
Two women and 129 male inmates are still out of contact, and one inmate has surrendered at the Doti Jail, Jha said.
Gaur Jail had 283 inmates, including eight female inmates. During the movement on September 9, all inmates had escaped. The police are continuing efforts to arrest the fugitives and return them to jail, according to Chief Jha.
