On the occasion of International Human Rights Day, a morning rally and a message-based folk song competition were held in Chautara, Sindhupalchok, on December 10, 2025.
The morning rally, which started from Bhintuna Chowk in Chautara, concluded at Tudikhel Chowk with a corner meeting, after which the message-based folk song competition was held.
The program was conducted with the coordination of INSEC and various active social organizations in the district, with financial support from Chautara-Sagachokgadhi Municipality and organized by the Municipal Disabled Coordination Committee.
The event was held under the chief patronage of Krishna Prasad Sapkota, Mayor of Chautara-Sagachokgadhi Municipality. Chief District Officer Bandhu Prasad Bastola, Deputy Mayor Sita Thapa, and others also expressed their felicitations during the program.
Welcoming the participants, INSEC representative Natibabu Dhital highlighted the significance of Human Rights Day.
The program also marked the conclusion of the 16-day campaign against gender-based violence in Sindhupalchok District, conducted under the main slogan, “Use technology responsibly: End gender-based violence,” along with various related activities.
