Interaction on Human Rights Situation in Sudurpaschim Province and Stakeholders’ Role in Human Rights Protection Concludes

The Informal Sector Service Centre (INSEC) Sudurpashchim Province Office, Dhangadhi, organized an interaction program on the human rights situation in Sudurpashchim Province and the role of stakeholders in human rights protection in 2025, on May 19, in the district headquarters, Silgadhi.

At the program, INSEC Sudurpashchim Province Office documentation officer Krishna Bahadur Bishwakarma presented on the human rights situation in 2025, and the major human rights issues included in the Nepal Human Rights Year Book 2026.

The chief guest of the program and Chief District Officer of Doti, Kalpana Ghimire Nepal, stated that INSEC has been carrying out the human rights-related work that the government should have been doing for a long time, and she said that the government remains committed to the protection of human rights. She also said that coordination between governmental and non-governmental bodies is necessary for the protection and promotion of human rights.

The Chief of District Police Office, Doti, Mahendra Nepal, said that the Nepal Police remains committed to ensuring citizens’ human rights and stated that INSEC has been carrying out important work for the promotion of human rights for a long time. He also said that even during the conflict period, INSEC made significant contributions in the field of civil and political rights.
