Bishnu Kumal, 22, originally from Syangja District and currently residing in Tansen-4, has been sentenced to three months’ imprisonment by the Palpa District Court for raping an 11-year-old girl.
A bench of District Court Judge Hariprasad Sharma Upadhyay on June 29 found the accused partially guilty and sentenced him to three months’ imprisonment, imposed a fine of Rs. 15,000, and ordered him to pay Rs. 23,000 in compensation, according to District Court Registrar Keshav Parajuli.
The victim’s family filed a complaint at the Palpa District Police Office on August 29, 2025, alleging that the accused had raped the girl on August 26, 2025. Police arrested the accused in Tansen on the same day the complaint was filed. A bench of the then District Court Judge Dal Bahadur KC on September 14, 2025 ordered the accused to be remanded in jail. The victim underwent a medical examination on August 29 at Palpa Hospital.
