A 33-year-old woman was allegedly subjected to an attempted rape on 20 November 2025, and police arrested Keshav Thapaliya, 40 also known as Ramsharan, and Gunabahadur Thapaliya, 65 of Nilkantha Municipality–8 on 23 November 2025 in connection with the incident.
The survivor had filed a complaint against the accused at the District Police Office on 23 November 2025. Police stated that after presenting the accused before the District Court on 24 November 2025, the court granted permission to keep them in custody for seven days for further investigation.
According to the survivor, Keshav attempted to rape her, while Gunabahadur assaulted her.
The survivor underwent a medical examination at Dhading Hospital.
