Cadres of the Banned CPN- Prakash Giri, 22, of Sarada Municipality-14 and Gorakh KC, 18, of Bagchaur Municipality-3 have been arrested by the police on August 30.
According to DSP Dhakendra Khatiwada of the District Police Office Salyan, they were arrested from the spot along with Rs 15,000 and a motorcycle while collecting donations at Maulahalne Bazaar in Kumakh Rural Municipality-6.
According to DSP Khatiwada, Rs. 1,000 and Rs. 23,330 were found with Prakash Giri and investigation is ongoing to figure out if the cash is a donation or not.
The Banned Communist Party of Nepal-Salyan, led by Netra Bikram Chand (Biplov), has issued a press release on August 31 objecting to the arrest of its cadres without any reason.
