Durgesh Yadav (24) of Aurahi rural municipality-3, Siraha, temporarily residing at Koteshwor of Kathmandu has committed suicide at Metropolitan Police Range, Lalitpur.
He hanged himself on the window 1 July 2020 using a bed-sheet, informed SP and Spokesperson Tul Bahadur Karki.
Yadav was accused of sexually abusing a 17-year-old physically disabled girl on 28 June 2020.
He was arrested the same day at around 11 pm hiding in a field. He was arrested for further investigation and was kept in quarantine.
Yadav was immediately taken to Patan hospital after he was found hanging on the window. The hospital declared him dead and the postmortem was conducted, informed Dr Bishnu Sharma, Hospital Director.
