Jaya Nath Mahato, 30 of Lalbandi Municipality-1, Nawalpur was injured after an unidentified group of people opened fire on him on June 29.
The assailant in a motorbike had opened fire on him while he was working in the construction site of Bhramha Sthan Temple at Lalbandi Municipality-1. He sustained right hand injuries and undergoing treatment in Birgunj according to the DSP Pratit Singh Rathaud of District Police Office.
The reason behind the firing is still unknown and search for the assailant is undergoing according to the police source. The assailant after opening fire fled in the jungle according to the locals.
