The FNJ of the district has handed over the memorandum to the police and District Administration Office on June 6 demanding the security of 28 years old journalist Birat Anupam (Gautam). He was threatened publicly by the mayor Dwarika Chaudhary of Itahari Sub-metropolis on June 4 to inflict physical attack on him.
The memorandum was handed over to CDO Prem Prakash Uprety of Sunsari and SP Yagya Binod Pokhrel by the FNJ for the security of journalist.
Bikram Luitel, chairperson of FNJ province, general secretary Bibek Gautam and member duo Jaya Krishna Yadav and Sashi Koirala inuding many others handed over the memorandum to the administration office and police.
Mayor Chaudhary in a social networking site had threatened the journo to break his nose.
