The District Court of Udaypur has ordered to sentence 23 years old Akash Shrestha of Hariban Municipality-11 and 24 years old Sagar Chaudhary of the same place for one year after finding them guilty on sexually abusing 12- and 14-years old girls. The court has also ordered for the penalty of RS 10,000 each and compensation of Rs 30,000 each from the convicts.
A single bench of District Court judge Tejendra Prasad Sapkota had given the verdict regarding the case. The convict duo had sexually abused girls on the night of September 10 and complaint against them was lodged by the victim’s family on September 11.
Both victims underwent health checkup at District Hospital on September 12 and by the court order on October 7 they were remanded in custody.
