The District Court of Dang has ordered to sentence 51 years old Tilbahadur Mahara of Bangalachuli Rural Municipality-6 for 2 and half years after finding him guilty on raping 66 years old elderly woman.
A single bench of District Court judge Hemanta Rawal ordered to sentence him on January 21. The accused had sexually abused the woman on April 10 and was arrested by the police on April 13.
The victim underwent health checkup at Rapti Sub-regional hospital on a same day she was abused. Mahara died on January 9 in course of treatment due to the illness related to the cold while he was remanded in custody.
