Radhika Nepali,23 is post natal from the last four months. She recently gave birth to a baby boy in a Narayansthan Health post.
While she was on the way to home, she asked the staffs of the health post about the post natal allowance. Health assistant Rishi Sharma of the health post said that the allowance has been disrupted from the last four months due to the lack of budget and committed the woman to send her the allowance to her home immediately after getting budget.
Just four years ago when she gave birth to a baby girl she was provided with the allowance of Rs 1400. But this time she was surprised not to get any allowance.
Radhika said that she got the allowance only after four months. There are six birthing centers in Baglung and majority of post natal women are getting allowance only after four months due to the delay on allocating budget by the municipality.
