The District Court of Gulmi has ordered to sentence 49 years old Prem Bahadur Karki of Ishma Rural Municipality-2 for eight years after finding him guilty on raping 11 years old girl.
A single bench of District Court judge Ram Prasad Neupane had given the verdict regarding the case. The court has also ordered for the compensation of Rs 30,000 from the accused to the victim.
The victim’s party had lodged complaint against the accused at police on charge of rape on June 25 and he was arrested on June 26 by the police. The victim underwent health checkup at District Hospital on June 26.
