The various hospitals of Mahottari are facing difficulties as more than eight ambulances are out of services from the last one and half years. The beneficiaries are facing crisis after they could not get the ambulance service on time.
The concerned bodies are apathetic on maintenance of ambulance affecting the health services.
“ The ambulance which was purchased paying a high price is not repaired and none of the bodies including District Public Health shows any concern for its maintenance “ according to chairperson Kamlesh Mandal of FNJ Mahoottari.
Patients are compelled to pay high price to use private company ambulences according to local vendor Ranjit Shah.
The concerned health organizations are only concentrating on purchasing new ambulance and showing apathy on their maintenance which is the main reason behind the disruption of ambulance services in District Hospital, primary hea;th centers and other health organizations.
There are 28 registered ambulances in the district of which only 10 are out of service since one year.
