Police have arrested Sanjeev Tumbapo, 29 of Phidim Municipality-7 on August 11 on charge of molesting a 13-year-old girl.
The accused was arrested based on a complaint lodged by the victim’s relatives according to DSP Krishna Prasad Koirala.
She underwent a health check up at District Hospital of Panchthar on August 11.
On August 11, the victim’s relative had lodged a complaint at DPO. The victim was molested by the accused on August 6 in an inebriated state.
The victim’s parents said that they could not lodge a complaint because of the pressure from locals.
