The District Court of Parbat has ordered to sentence 35 years old Durga Bahadur Chettri of Kushma Municipality-8 for five years after finding him guilty on raping 18 years old girl. The court has also ordered for the compensation of Rs 50,000 from the convict.
A single bench of District Court judge Surya Bahadur Thapa had given the verdict regarding the case.
The accused was charged of raping a girl on June 1 and complaint against him was lodged on June 2 at DPO.
On a same day he was arrested and victim underwent a health checkup at District Hospital.
