Constitution expert Tika Ram Bhattarai said that the representatives must be accountable towards its people rather than the political party.
He expressed his view while speaking at the workshop program on representative’s work, responsibilities and rights organized in Nepalgunj jointly by INSEC Nepalgunj office and Kohalpur Municipality on March 22.
He further added that representatives are accountable towards the citizens on each and every work they do and they must use the absolute rights provided by the constitution.
During the program, Bhattarai highlighted and made clear abou the rights of representatives provisioned in the constitution.
Speaking at the program, INSEC coordinator Bhola Mahat of Nepalgunj office said that the program was organizes to solve the legal issues that the representatives are facing in a daily basis.
The program was participated by mayor, vice mayor, ward chairman, vice ward chairman and members of judiciary committee.
