First Phase of Parliamentary and Provincial election peacefully operating (Update 11:30 Am)

The first phase of parliamentary and provincial election has commenced in all 32 district on November 26. In Jumla and Dolpa the election begin half an hour late due to the chilling weather condition according to our district representative. In Aathbiskot municipality of Rukum, a news of explosion has been reported.

According to INSEC regional coordinator Bhola Mahat, the polling in Rukum has begun at 7 Am. INSEC district representative Madhav Oli of Rolpa said that a bomb was exploded 300 meters away from Birendra Polling Center in Sukidaha Rural Municipality-4.

Similarly, in Tedikhola of Madi Rural Municipality-1 of Rolpa, a bomb was exploded. In Thawang of Rolpa until 10 Am, 200 votes have been casted according to CDO Dr Dijen Bhattarai. There are 2700 voters in Thawang.

In Mugu district, the polling has commenced 7 in the morning according to the district representative Jeevan Sejuwal quoting CDO Uma Kanta Adhikari. In Kalikot and Jajarkot districts, the poll begin sharp at 7 Am.

In polling center of Nepal Rastriya Basic Primary School of Mugumakarmang Rural Municipality-4 of Mugu,  the polling could not begin until 10:45 Am after ballot box was found without seal. Helicopter has been summoned from Surkhet to bring seal at polling center. There are 166 voters in the district.
