The candidate of Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) has violated the election code of conduct by using children in their election campaign.
Ward chairman candidate Ram Awatar Sharma of Lahan Municipality-7 has used children to carry party’s flag seeking votes for his party.
According to National Election Observation Committee (NEOC) district member Dev Kumari Mahara, majority of the political parties are found to be using children in their election dissemination campaign against the election code of conduct. She added that all political parties will be alerted on this serious issue.
Meanwhile, police administration has removed parties flags put in the highway and public places against the code of conduct. The flags and posters were removed by the decision after the all party meeting held on September 10 according to DSP Hira Bahadur Pandey of Area Police Office of Lahan.
