On 11 September, a group of unknown people set fire to the Traffic Police Office in Jaleshwar Municipality-2, the district headquarters of Mahottari. At around 1:30 pm, the Traffic Police Office east of Mahottari District Court was set on fire using petrol. According to SP Heramba Sharma of the District Police Office, the incident took place while police were stationed at the District Police Office for their own safety due to the GenZ protest.
A computer, chair, and table in the office were destroyed by the fire. SP Sharma stated that upon receiving information about the incident, teams from the Nepal Police, Armed Police Force, and the Nepali Army arrived at the scene and brought the fire under control.
