Vandalism at the Central Offices of UML and Congress

On the second day of the Gen Z youth protests, 9 September, protesters vandalized and set fire to the UML headquarters in Chyasal, according to police reports. Similarly, protesters also vandalized and set fire to the central office of the Nepali Congress in Sanepa. Police sources stated that, unable to control the large number of demonstrators, the offices were seized by the protesters.

Similarly, the protesters also set fire at the Minister’s Quarters in Lalitpur. Protesters participating in the Gen Z demonstrations set fire to the quarters. Additionally, a police post in Balkumari was also torched. Protesters have set fire to the police post in Balkumari. Currently, demonstrators are staging protests in various locations by burning tires. According to administrative sources, the protesters, who have emerged from different neighborhoods, are primarily targeting the offices of top leaders of the Nepali Congress, UML, and Maoist parties, as well as ministers and other political party offices.
