Rupandehi District Court has sentenced Bishnu Prasad Dhakal,48, of Tamnagar, Butwal Sub-Metropolitan City–12, to three months in prison for sexually abusing an 11-year-old girl. The bench of District Court Judge Ashok Kumar Basnet on August 24 found the accused guilty and sentenced him to three months in prison, imposed a fine of Rs. 10,000, ordered him to provide Rs. 30,000 in compensation to the victim, and deposit Rs. 400 into the Victim Relief Fund, according to District Court Information Officer Padam Aryal.
The aggrieved party filed a complaint at the Butwal Area Police Office on May 15, stating that the accused had sexually abused the girl the same day. The health examination of the victim was done on May 15 at Lumbini Provincial Hospital, Butwal. Police arrested the accused from Tamnagar on May 15.
