Continuous rainfall on 30 and 31 August triggered landslides in Salledhar, Kedarasyu Rural Municipality-8, destroying an irrigation canal and damaging the paddy fields of four local families. According to Ward Chairperson Suresh Bahadur Jethara, the collapse of the canal sent debris about 100 meters downhill, completely destroying the fields. Local farmer Siddharaj Dhami reported that the landslide severely affected the lands of Kalak Dhami, Manbahadur Dhami, Rangalal Dhami, and his own farmland.

On the morning of 31 August, another landslide hit Ranbahadur Dhami’s field, wiping out his entire paddy crop. Chairperson Jethara said the landslide is still moving because the main root underground has been uprooted, and it cannot be stopped at present. He warned that the Salledhar settlement remains at risk and confirmed that relief efforts are underway for the affected families.
