Police arrested Prabin Mahat, 24, originally from Chandannath Municipality–3, Jumla, and currently residing in Tilagufa Municipality–1, Nagma, on 16 August for allegedly sexually abusing a 17-year-old girl.
The aggrieved party filed a complaint at the District Police Office on 10 August, reporting that the raped the victim on 7 August 2025. The girl underwent a medical examination at the District Hospital on 10 August.
